Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Okay, here is my teaser:
Sitting on the summer-night porch was so good, so easy and so reassuring that it could never be done away with. These were rituals that were right and lasting: the lighting of pipes, the pale hands that moved knitting needles in the dimness, the eating of foil-wrapped, chilled Eskimo Pies, the coming and going of all the people. Dandelion Wine – Ray Bradbury
Speaking of relaxing on the porch (or patio):
This has been an exceptionally mild summer here in eastern Nebraska so reading on the patio at dusk is actually a lovely thought. It is so nice to sit outside, glass of iced tea, dogs patrolling the area, cats lounging on the step and book in hand. I do not like to turn on the porch light because attracting more bugs is not a pleasant thought so my book light has come in handy. Then it broke. *sigh* I am now in the market for some new book illumination. I had the Itty Bitty Book Light but may upgrade to something a little hipper. Thinking of a Mighty Bright Flex Light. It comes in different colors and is an super LED bulbs last a lifetime, or so they say. There is a version available with an adapter option. Decisions…decisions.

Ah I wish I had a porch! Gotta make do with a balcony on the third floor instead.
I love the look of your blog, by the way!
