While browsing the New Yorker online, I came across this comical article concerning a Facebook group called “People for a library-themed Ben & Jerry’s flavor!”. What a novel idea! So, of course I check out the group and as of July 21st, there are 4,000 members. The group’s page supplies a link to Ben & Jerry’s for you to submit your biblio suggestion. There is also a short-list of some of the tasty ideas:
Dusty Stacks – layers of ice cream with speckles of cocoa in the layers
Gooey Decimal System – dark fudge alphabet letters with caramel swirls in hazelnut ice cream
Libguide Licorice
This caused my voice to wonder what literary flavors I would like to sample? How about:
Chocolate Pride and Vanilla Prejudiced – chocolate ice cream, chocolate fudge swirl, chocolate chunks, chocolate sprinkles, dark chocolate shavings and chocolate covered coffee beans (help for those evenings when you just have to know what happens)
Salem Lotso Nuts – caramel ice cream with chocolate-covered almonds (somewhat fang shaped) and bat shaped waffle cone pieces
Bibliopalooza – made to order and can include everything but the kitchen sink
Any other ideas?

Ooh, I would love to try all of them, if they were all available. Nothing like curling up with a good book and a pint of any one of those. Course, I’ll probably end up being bloated, but still…
Mmm. Books and ice cream, two of my favorite things.
