What do you think – honest please!

question-mark3a

I have changed my blog’s theme and am wondering if anyone would be kind enough to offer up their opinion?  Be honest, I can take it!  I do miss my header and the three-column look but I love the fact that the pages tabs drop-down and the general look.  Please, let me know what do you think?

I really like it! Its very clean looking and organized. (Not that your other one was disorganized, i really liked your other one too!) It looks modern. :0)

I do like the drop downs too. It’s very simple which isn’t a bad thing. Ironically I did some fiddling around with my blog today. I’m still trying to find a header to use. I happen to prefer a header myself.

This is my first time visiting your blog and I have to say it looks very professional! Like a magazine, kind of. Nice job!

I like it – sticks to the principles of web design : simple, sleek, whitespace, nice.

    And a sans-serif font always helps :)

The one (small) recommendation I do have is :

on the sidebar, combine the RSS feed and “Subscribe via email” into the same section/put them one below the other. Have a new tab for contact/”send me a note”. Also, “Share” should be after both the “subscribes” (i.e. RSS and Email), just so that it follows through more intuitively.

    That’s my two bits :)

I like the layout generally, but I think the header needs some final touch to distinguish it. A border? A logo? A color? I’m not sure.

See above comments. :P Everyone’s already said what I wanted to say: it’s pleasing to the eye, looks professional, simple, uncluttered, and the drop downs are pretty sweet. :D

I think it is kind of stylish. Too clean and organized for my taste, but, hey, we are talking books.
However, I do miss the old tumblr posts. Couldn’t help noticing that there is less and less of booktumbling around :(

I agree, it does look very professional – which is good for reviews. :)

I do like the theme, though I agree the header could use some punching up. Also, the sidebar is really full. Maybe go to two sidebars, or trim down the contents a little?

Thanks so much. I do like the look too. Not perfect but then again nothing is!

I certainly appreciate the positive words. Thanks for stopping by.

Funny because I was thinking about re-ordering the follow/contact stuff. Unfortunately the RSS is a hard stick. It is automatic with the theme. Thanks for the two bits! :-)

This is one of my biggest gripes – the header. There are no options to fiddle with it. Perhaps one day I will self-host and be able to have it all!!!

Love, Love, Love the drop downs. Thanks so much!

I miss tumbling also! Hopefully things are starting to get into a groove and I will have more time to tumble. I try to a couple times a week but can’t always get to it. Poor neglected tumblr!

Thanks so much. I am going to try it out for a while.

I had just moved all the sidebar extra stuff to their own tab and then I read your comment. I couldn’t agree more. Thanks for the suggestion!

I have to admit I like the fact that your header changes. Something to look forward to.
