I have been in a funk. A great, deep funky funk. I do not know why. I guess it is just one of those things – unexplainable but discouraging just the same. I have tried for days to sit and post something, anything. But nada! I suppose I could do one of those streams of conscience exercises but what fun would that be for anyone else to gaze upon. It would probably go something like this…
I am in a funk. Why? Don’t have a clue. My dogs are bugging me! But they are sure cute. Hope my daughter is okay at her new job. She is so goofy. I wish I could get…
See, not interesting. Then I received a couple of emails that caused a spark in the ol’ mood generator. I just need to plunder ahead and post something. I then remembered someone gave me an award short while back. Now, I have something to share. I am going to actually create a new post. It would not be proper to include something happy with this funk tirade. I guess we all have those days!!!
So, what is your cure for the blahs?

I’ve been in a funky mood for the past week. Since I seem to be able to babble regardless it hasn’t really affected my posting. Hope you lose the funk soon.
Yes, I so know what you mean! That’s when I have to go out and get me a laid back, fun, fast, and funny read. I was in a funk earlier this week and actually did just that. I read and reviewed Oh.My.Gods. and it was such a fun book! Maybe it would help you too never know….I hope you get out of that funk! Good Luck!
I’ve been in a funk the past couple days, too. But I’m blaming today’s funk on it being Monday. Monday’s are good at taking funk-blame. As for getting rid of said funk, I agree with Krista – maybe reading something light and fun will help. Something chick lit-y with a pastel cover. I’ve been plodding through the same book for what seems like forever (I just realized it’s almost been 2 weeks! yikes!), and while it’s a good book, I’m like “Are you almost done yet??!”
Hopefully your funk cloud lifts soon!
Sympathies with the funk, I know exactly what you mean, I even have trouble reading when I’m like that, posts become rather sporodic. I have really enjoyed visiting your blog by the way.
Awww.. feel better! I have an award for you, btw!

So sorry to hear you’re feeling down. I have these days myself. I’m not sure what I do to get myself out of it. I just feel better after a few days…usually! I hope you see the light at the end of the tunnel soon. =o)

Cures (for me, at least):
Coffee
Window shopping
Sunlight
Flower shops/greenhouses/plant nurseries
Classical music (it’s not my normal listening choice)
Hopefully you’ll come out of it soon!
We all get in a funk from time to time. Mine often has to do with procrastinating! So, the best thing for me is to sit down and just do whatever it is that I’ve put off doing. Or, I like to procrastinate a little longer with some exercise.
Funk cures:
Too much TV (so much that I get bugged of TV and read a good book)
A good long walk
Music
For me, the best remedy is usually good music.
We’ve all to those days…or weeks! Take a day off from the blog is the thought of doing it is just one more thing you have to try to work into the day.
Must be something in the air. I hope my babbleness comes back!
I will have to keep an eye out for that one. I definitely need something – good suggestion.
I know what you mean about those books that you like but want to reach the ending. Sometimes there is too much of a good thing. Thanks for the thoughts.
I know, my reader is off the charts!!! I have finally made some progress in catching up but everytime I think I am getting ahead, there are 100 more posts added. Awwww!! Thanks for the nice comment! Those certainly do help with the funk!
Maybe it is the change in the season. I love fall – the leaves, cooler weather but maybe the whole have to pull up my veggie garden, start cleaning out the flower pots – maybe the end of another season is just a little sad. Good luck on your tunnel light also!
You know what, I have a great site for free classical downloads and I love gearing up my player and cranking it. I just did that yesterday! Sunlight – soooo important!
I am such a procrastinator and it certainly doesn’t help when I am in this mood. Thanks for the kick in the tush – I do just need to get on the ball again. Except for exercise – good to procrastinate!
I have actually been leaving my media player on while being online or just in the background when piddling around the house. It is definitely a mood enhancer!
