I should weed out books more than I do. I tend to accumulate finished books in a pile and weed ut the ones I don’t want to keep. Recently I start leaving books at coffee shops and laundromats instead of brining boxes to goodwills.

I’m a hoarder at heat but I have a small apartment. Luckily, I can hoard all the ebooks and audiobooks I want! Haha!

I didn’t give up any favorites so that is why there was not too much heartache. I also made sure to give those titles that were a little more difficult to give up to family or friends. I figure, if in the future I decide “hmmm I think I want to read that one again” I know where to find the book.

Organization helps. The overgrown book garden may not seem so out of control if it was organized and manageable.

I am usually a hoarder and trust me, I have pretty much replaced any books that I removed. It will be a long time before I purge again.

Oh hooray, I’m not the only hoarder in the comments! I was starting to feel a bit ashamed reading all these BTT answers–most people are pretty good about “weeding” out their collections. But I’m glad to hear the cleanup experience was not heart breaking for you–I seriously picture myself grasping my books screaming “NOOO! I need this one! And that one! And that one too!”
