I recently shared my trauma of the threat of CO2 poisoning from the furnace (it is 40+ years old and I guess it was tired) so there has been no heat in my home for a week. Of course, it has been an unseasonably cool October (early snow last weekend) and I have been a walking icicle. You know it is cold when you sit in your car, in the driveway, with the heat running full blast just to warm up. I have baked more this week then in the last 6 months in an attempt to at least heat up the kitchen and dining room. The furnace guy said the latest he could install the new furnace was Thursday – 3 days ago Thursday. No such luck!
This is not another sob story complaining about my frigid toes. It is a proclamation of joy!! The new furnace is installed!! What a thing of beauty. When my daughter and I detected the first whiff of that lovely the-heat-is-on aroma, we could hardly contain ourselves. I even hugged the furnace guy and his cohorts and then my daughter and I did this little jig (jump to 1:40 if you want to get to the dance)

Glad you’re able to get your heat on. It’s been schizo here bouncing up and down which includes a brief brush with that evil white stuff. I’m stuck in schizo land when it comes to weather. I don’t blame you for hugging the guy because that sounds horrible.
Oh who would think “heat” could make someone “jump for joy”?? Enjoy
