It is 7:09 am CST and I am getting ready to sit back, sip my coffee and dive back into Rebecca. My dogs were nice enough to wake me up at 3:00 am so I picked out a few books and made a semi-plan for reading and posting. I have to fess up right away that I won’t be making a full 24 hours of reading/posting/blog hopping. I forgot I have a baby shower to attend this afternoon but that is only a couple of hours. This will still be a book-centric day!!!! Okay, off to read! Good luck to everyone!
Now for the hour 1 meme:
Where are you reading from today? I am reading in Omaha, NE.
3 facts about me? I have a 18 (19 at the end of December) year old daughter, I hate winter, my dogs and cats are already driving me nuts today.
How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours? I have 4 at the moment but reserve the right to change it up at any time.
Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)? My main goal is to just read as much as possible. I do not have any set numbers (pages or hours). I also want to visit as many participants blogs as possible and actually attempt to use twitter.
If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, Any advice for people doing this for the first time? Nope, first timer and I need all the advice I can get!

You’ve got some great goals! I’m planning on trying to dip into as many readathon activities as possible. Last time I just read. Have fun!
Welcome to the read-a-thon! Enjoy these first few hours-they’ll fly by! I’m sure you’ll do great.
I really want to read The Private Papers of Eastern Jewel. Can’t wait to hear how it is!
Happy reading! Sounds like great plans!
Yay! Let the games begin.
Great start to the read-a-thon! Good luck!
