Chaser

Chaser is the third book in the Dive Bar series. I think it could be read as a standalone, but I would recommend you start with Dirty, book one. It would give you a little more information and character knowledge, but again I don’t think you have to read the previous books to still enjoy the story. A tiger can't change his stripes or can he? Eric is the Dive Bar's resident playboy. He is never one for serious relationships. I'll be honest. I wasn't Eric's biggest fan when I started this book. I actually kind of hated his guts. I love Kylie Scott's books, but I just wasn't super excited about this story. Chaser is told from Eric's point of view. I don't know how she did it, but I wasn't that far in the book and my hatred from Eric faded away. I became Team Eric. Jean just moved to Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. She is pregnant and looking to start over across the country. I’ll admit it was strange not getting her point of view. I’m used to reading books with alternating points of view or the heroine’s point of view. That being said, I loved her character and felt connected to her without being inside her head. Chaser is a slow burn romance. Kylie Scott just writes books that make you remember why you love to read. I very much enjoyed reading Chaser and I can't wait to read her next book.
